I graduated with my Bachelors in Education from Millersville University, Pennsylvania in 2012 and continue to take classes whenever possible to further my degree.

I have been working with children since 2004 when I first began to volunteer in reading and math programs for disadvantaged students in saturday scholar programs and have continued to pursue my passion to help children learn and understand new things ever since then.

A little bit about me!  I was born in the north (That's right, I'm a Yankee). When I turned 18 I left home and joined the Marine Corps. After serving 5 years (most of that time was split between Camp Lejuene and Iraq) I got out and went back to college to get my teaching degree.  During the summers I like to do a lot of outdoor sporting events like kayaking and volleyball and I love to write.  I love the beach, hiking up mountains, and pretty much anything to do with nature. I still have my inner child that comes out every time i see an animal. I cannot look at frogs and turtles without trying to pick them up. I have a big dog that I love named Klause and a little puppy named Angel.  If you ever get a chance to meet them they will be sure to hug and kiss you with lots of slobber.  When I was in college I started playing Rugby and passionately believe it is the greatest, most manly sport there is.  Don't ever ask me about rugby during class time or I might abdicate my lesson plans to talk about scrumming and rucking!  I am fairly laid back but I expect a respectful relationship between students and staff in my classroom.  I hope we can all work together to make this school year an exciting one!
